Will I be able to master new tools and programs to fit into the tech world?
Yes, of course! Throughout the cohort, we work in both Miro board and Figma to help you get used to working with these tools. You can receive 1:1 tutoring from your mentor on how to use these tools as well.
What does the curriculum cover?
We cover remote research methods, practice with UI design tools, and prototyping/pretotyping/ ideation methods. We showcase how design relates to business strategy, marketing, and technical/operations constraints. This helps you better communicate your ideas to all types of folks.
Will I get it RIGHT?
Honestly, UI and UX designing requires a lot of non-linear thinking. Remember, there is no one RIGHT answer. We are constantly iterating and improving upon our ideas to increase the product’s reach. We also use research methods to help us reduce the chance of product failure once we “launch” our product to the market. UX design can be subjective, but we teach you the research and design methods you need to navigate this uncertainty and pitch your ideas with confidence.
How will you help me find a UX job?
You receive access to group alumni coaching after you graduate for resume reviews, interviews, and negotiations practice, as well as to put you in touch with recruiters based on your personal interests. We are always available to chat even after you graduate from the course and go through your job search process.
What’s the opportunity cost of staying in my current field versus making the transition?
This is a question that only YOU can answer truly. If you are feeling stuck, de-motivated, or tired of your current job, then NOW is the time to act. We believe that it's important to feel passionate and excited about the work that you are doing. All of our cohort members have mentioned that they are making a big IMPACT in the world with their work. We want you to feel this way again, too. UX is a hot field right now- you have the chance of earning 6 figures and more by pivoting into this profession.
